You mean the tacit unifying dislike of the man would've meant the resulting eerie silence amongst the peloton would've persisted irrespective of nasty incidents.

Armstrong was the personification of a tumbleweed. A dishonest and exploitative tumbleweed.

He would have ridden through the pack, sticking passive aggressive post-it notes on people's backs.
