Regardless of what can go wrong with a bike over time you say you bought this a few months back. Everything on that bike is covered for 12 months minimum I would have thought (check your warranty), wheels, cables, mudguards, you name it. Charge and the bike shop have a legal obligation to ensure everything works exactly as it should. Take it back to the shop and get everything done under warranty, whether the shop decide to send it back to Charge or not is entirely up to them and not really your concern as long as it's sorted.
