My knees are knackered from a 75 mile spin Saturday morning, I've really got to get my position dialled in on the bike before the DD otherwise I don't think I'll be going along :( fucking annoyed at the thought of that.

I think what econodog is getting at is 45 names on a list won't necessarily result in 45 people handing over 15 quid when the time comes, where as getting people to pay up front ensures a serious commitment. On the other hand that might put off people who would only shell out if the coach was booked and definite. Either way has it's downside.

I don't envy you katie-coo, you've done a better than brilliant job already.

I'll pay more for the second coach.

The only other alternative is to pay £25 for the Southwark ones, wait until well into Sunday, queue for ages with all the other shitmunchers, sit on a stinky coach with a load of randoms, then wait in London for the bikes to arrive hours later. NO FANX, NO OFFENC.

yes you pushy salesman! your tactics are an eyesore :P I'm feeling to ride back because I am almost broke and I know I can do it, my main concern is if I can save the amount of money I have now until dd day, get the food I need, and also have enough left over until pay day. It's tighter than a virgin right now.

As for tricity, the pace doesn't bother me, It's just I'm not really on getting lost that day....it's a hype, however a ciggy break every 2 miles?? didn't even think the need for nicotine comes into your mind when your on a bike. I was thinking a lunch break 50 miles back instead! :P

regardless, For will and Tricity, I'm gonna have to pm you guys at a later date what's going down because my funds are seriously low, for me to do this I'm gonna need to consume some mountain of food and that costs money..money which I may not have.

How you thinking you will manage on the way back? To be honest with you I notice you mentioning road bike, I don't think I'll be good for you. I sold my road bike due to lack of usage and running out of funds. plan to get another once I am able to get bikes on trade at evanscycles (I work there), right now I'm riding my lil fixie but the gearing is perfect for all challenges I think regarding ascents.
Out of courtesy I'm letting you now ight now I will not hold it against you if you agree with me not being a fit for the group. If you'd still like my company than I have to say if by any chance I slow you down than please leave me behind. Infact, will tell you I'm dropping out if I get the feeling I am :)

I will be riding back at about 7mph I expect; that is the pace I crawled back to Ipswich at last year. I am happy to ride with people on the way back but making no plans to; if I have to match other people's pace something disastrous will happen, and anyway I will need cigarette breaks every two miles.

It would be cool to roll along with a few people, so I'll definitely let you know when we're setting off etc, and i have no problem with people just catching a draft for as long as they feel like (I'll be letting my mate do most of the work anyway) But as far as fag breaks go, I'll be having my first smoke in 24hours at the Pub in the park with a pint of guinness, I never feel the need when I'm riding, and it feels sooo good when you finally have one.

I've said it before and I'll say it again- if, at the middle of this week, there are enough forum usernames on a list, I will definitely see if the coach company can do us 2 coaches.

Smaller vehicles are more expensive per seat and as the forum is already subsidising this, that's a no-no, as well as people paying then issuing refunds if not enough etc etc etc (administrative nightmare).
The LFGSS coach is a forum service, not a back-up for people who didn't get SC tickets. I've got about 10 mates who didn't get SC tickets and I've told them they have the option of joining the forum and putting their names on the list and buy a ticket should one become available- I suggest you with all your +1s do the same!

^have just re-read this, I don't mean to sound pissed off or anything. I totally understand how frustrating it must be to be sans ticket. Fingers crossed we can all get to Dunwich and home in time for the Tour highlights with minimal punctures and only one or two rounds. (Shinigami in charge of in-coach entertainment)
