Poor turnout today. Me included. Got there late and had to leave early. I'm just having a think about how we can remedy this problem. A change of times maybe?
I'm still down with Sunday, but would like to start earlier...say around 10am, and play until about 1 or 2. Wednesdays are also the best week night for me, but hanging around waiting to get on a court for an hour and a half sucks, so I've started getting there later. Before we know it we'll be getting back into winter again so unless we can find a court with lights then we'll only be able to play on Sundays for a while.
Does anyone else have any thoughts?

At least you turned up! As i said to you earlier Chris, i'd be up for starting earlier and ending earlier, or playing for longer.
I think it's about time for the more dedicated among us to play further afield now and then. Organise some games with some of the south coast teams. Maybe even go to . .. . London. -

Hey Chris, what website did you get your face guard from?

Good idea. With a bit of planning the odd trip to play with different people on different courts doesn't need to be too much of a pain in the arse to organise. Some impromptu mini tournaments would be awesome!
I'd also like to start having a look at different courts a bit closer to home. I haven't been down there for a while, but there's a sweet looking stand alone court next to the skate park behind Tescos in Lewes that might be good for a knock around at some point. If nothing else we might get a couple of new players interested.

I don't think we need a change of time, just for people to actually show up. I took this last Sunday off because I had put off things domestic for too long and not forgetting that I broke my bike on Saturday.
I'm up for travelling to play, has bike and money to put into this sort of endeavour.
Anyone up for a meeting to discuss the future of polo in Brighton? Happy to host at mine again.

Don't change the time to super ealry on a Sunday morning! 1 or 2 is good. What makes a big difference is making sure everyone turns up at the same time. Nothign as boring as waiting at the court for ages, and then havign to leave before the games get really good

I think I should be afraid of a Danny and Woody team.... or maybe I'll defect and join them.

Meeting good. Can't we just do it at polo on Wednesday. If anyone turns up...? Assuming the weather holds too.

Re time change, my thinking was an earlier start would mean a good few hours of polo and still have a bit of the afternoon to do other stuff with other peeps. I'm normally up pretty early and hanging around to start. Solo polo's only so much fun after a while. Just thinking out loud...

I'm mulling over the time change so will post later, but don't really agree...on the other had is anyone up for Saturday in London? ABC tourney, looks like it'd be coolito. As for Wednesday, turn up or feel the wrath of the gods of polo!!

Just a little reminder, we've got the ABC tournament on Saturday, at Newington, you guys are more than welcome to come.
The basic idea is to divide everyone into A, B and C players, and then draw random teams with one player from each, so that teams are roughly equal.
