Yep, as jaitch says- I said earlier that I would look into putting on another coach towards the middle of this week if there are enough people showing interest- this means a list of at least 50 forum usernames.

If we do put another coach on I will PM this eat the top of the list to give them a heads up that seats will be available, that sound ok?

Sweet :D Mind me coming back with you? 15ish is cool, I looked at the distance we'd travel in roughly a straight line and simply put, that line runs past sheffield, past leeds and ends up below darlington. You guys still on it? (AM I STILL ON IT!? lol) Should be a good challenge and i wanna see what a year as a courier has given me in terms of fitness...it's also cheaper.

I'll probably be draughting my mate Ben who is a whippet on a 5 grand carbon focus, I'm on my tourer after the road bike died last january (wrapped the down tube round a taxi. Pedestrian's fault.) Looking to get there 5ish, grab some solid food, and set off again 6ish. The longer the stop the more painful the return. Sleep is out of the question. 240 will be my biggest ever, longest so far is 110.

How you thinking you will manage on the way back? To be honest with you I notice you mentioning road bike, I don't think I'll be good for you. I sold my road bike due to lack of usage and running out of funds. plan to get another once I am able to get bikes on trade at evanscycles (I work there), right now I'm riding my lil fixie but the gearing is perfect for all challenges I think regarding ascents.
Out of courtesy I'm letting you now ight now I will not hold it against you if you agree with me not being a fit for the group. If you'd still like my company than I have to say if by any chance I slow you down than please leave me behind. Infact, will tell you I'm dropping out if I get the feeling I am :)

I will be riding back at about 7mph I expect; that is the pace I crawled back to Ipswich at last year. I am happy to ride with people on the way back but making no plans to; if I have to match other people's pace something disastrous will happen, and anyway I will need cigarette breaks every two miles.

rookie66 as per Katie-Coos previous post, if you dont fancy riding back get on the list above and then if we do put on a second coach you can buy a ticket incase you need it. I mean I would love to ride there and back but I would always have a failsafe just in case right?

hey jaitch/velocio maybe you should start taking orders now for the second coach so you can start getting definites as soon as, and if there are not enough people by say the end of the week or monday next week then you just refund everyone who has paid so far?

let me know which you do decide to do yeah? cos if you want to deposit bags/food e.t.c. with me at the start ill have to be there slightly earlier...

her thoughts are, to look at the list of names above and if there is enough to fill a second coach then she will contact the coach company and do it all last minute. she will contact the people on the list to let them know about tickets being available. there are no guarantees being made about being able to offer a second coach, and im guessing David wont be happy to set it all up and then have to issue refunds so I dont think thats an option. especially if people have already paid for tickets. can you imagine the shitstorm?

it sounds like weve got enough people to at least half fill a coach, if its a question of loss of money, Im guessing most people would be willing to pay more than the 15quid price the last one was to make up the lack of numbers?
