My Hope ran on low power throughout the DD last year (I was planning to switch it up to full power later but never felt the need and forgot to do so). It lasted fine and even made it through the next week of late night commutes!
In fact, the Smart light and a Blackburn I also had didn't run out either and all of the spare batteries I had with me went unused. You certainly won't need anything more than you are planning to take IMHO..
.Give thanks for the above advice Rod Munch...

@JAHtim
about the hope light/batteries: I have found that the brightest setting is more than bright enough, and you're fine with the second or perhaps third level, which would prolong your batteries' lives somewhat. So I think your planning is ample.Greetings Skully,
I hope you are doing alright.... Thanks for info and see you sometime / somewhere on 16th / 17th.
Peace and Love,

BTW, I'm not sure if anyone else used it much, but a few of us used google latitude last year. I found it quite handy to see whether I needed to speed up/slow down to stand a chance of meeting up. Not exactly foolproof - but could save fumbling around trying to describe what ditch you've fallen into via text message. ;)
Was at least fun for TSK to see where everyone was whilst he waited in the van

• #859
Does latitude only update your position if you open Google maps, or can you set it to update at set intervals?
-
• #860
If background data use is enabled it should update it's self. Can be a bit flaky but generally it's quite good.

• #861
I should imagine it'll drink my battery though :(

ill be using google latitude much like tsk did last year. anyone who has given their details to Velocio for coach tickets (and has a gmail account, do you need a gmail account to use latitude? im not sure.) will probably get a request invite thing a day or two before from me. that way if there is any problem I might be able to home in quicker/easier to any problems. plus it might help me to judge where I should be on the route at different times. no point me leaving london fields and driving straight to dunwich.

can velocio confirm please?
the people with plus ones on this list? will they be able to get tickets to cover their plus ones when you put them in the shop? or will the plus ones need a username/lfgss account? I just wanted to check because i remember seeing that in the shop and to make sure the people on the list were aware if this was the case and had time to take measures to ensure no disappointment.

YOU MUST HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON LFGSS TO GO ON THE COACH!
Also, check out this post.
Velocio doesn't seem to do lists for this kind of thing and isn't interested in the rules other people create for the lists they make, thus avoiding all the arguments that people then have about those rules and their interpretation. Velocio's simple rule here is very clear: register on the forum, buy a ticket for yourself.
Oh and @cyclotron3k: there's nothing to stop you putting yourself back in the completely unofficial list, which is no actual use except for indicating demand for a second coach, but it's also clear that there are no refunds and tickets are not transferrable. You can pull out, which gives Velocio the chance to sell it again and make more money for the forum.
As this is subsidised by the forum and therefore loss-making, the policy is no refunds, no re-sales. If you decide not to come, your ticket money effectively just becomes a donation towards covering the coach cost for others.

hey all. does anyone know if there are any tickets left for the return journey from dunwich, i need two and they seem to be sold out. it's my first time, so if you've got any advice, i'll take anything.

I love the picture of the coach on the shop site, it's like a holiday brochure for old people.
-
• #871
@samcockcroft: no. Read the last few pages of this thread.
-
• #872
can we organise a second coach or is that happened?
-
• #873
I guess this just proves that the integrity of the list system has been compromised, which is a great shame, because the list system (followed closely by the dibs system, then the 'rep' system) was one of the great lures of this forum.

Forum love is aliveThis and that.
We should've had poll to decide how to manage the reserve list. What a mess.

Second coach isn't yet ordered. We don't have enough people on the list yet to justify it.

i have to be in Warwick for 10:30 on 17th so I am out and my place on the coach is available. not sure what the procedure is?
Shotgun! How much?
Cheers mate that helped out no end. I don't have a brooks so no trouble there! I was going to buy this to hold food and spares my current saddle bag is a specialized wedge and I can't quite get everything in there and thought if I'm buying new I might as well buy three biggest one as that will benefit me more in the long run.
