wut? There are big variations through the list with the exception of Red Lion, Royal Oak, White Hart.
It's not clear what criteria CAMRA used to count their Crowns - the referenced article explicitly includes an Old Crown, for example, but did they also include all the "Crown and ..." pubs? That would make a big difference, lumping the Crown and Anchor, Crown and Sceptre, Crown and Shuttle etc into the one count.
