How long does this take?
I've done it several times but I couldn't actually say how long it takes - been asked by one of the edinburgh guys:

I'm going to be coming through newcastle via the train in edinburgh to take the ferry over to amsterdam with some bikes at the end of the month and I was just wondering what the best way to get from the train station to the ferry landing is, and about how long a ride it will be at a slow riders pace, other snails with me .
