The original Parabike was a BSA, made for chucking out of 2nd world war planes, nothing like the Montague

These montague's were originally released as Hummer bikes.

Ive done repairs on one. The bike is basically shit.

But the folding & locking mechanism is extremely sturdy.

I know someone who bought one of those a couple of years ago, not in military styling, though. It suited him very well. :)

Compax eh? sounds like a tampon

It's like the Humvee of bicycles. Bomb-proof and weighs a tonne with very little point. Really useful when trying to outrun a tomahawk.

So during a war they paratroop to the front of the battle and ride a bicycle. I know it's an american bike so an american war (that's most of them i suppose)

the TA centre behind my building used to be the training centre for bicycle mounted soldiers during WW2, which I thought was pretty cool*
