As a council estate dweller (my wife's the tenant; they won't grant me tenancy despite being here nearly 20 years), can I just say a quick 'fuck you' to everyone casually describing how areas are tainted by estates. Thanks.

It's not the estates themselves. It's some of the dwellers.
I'm on a HA estate - all nice, most people are in employment and proud of the neighbourhood. And then there are some cunts rehoused there from a demolished tower block. You can tell by the front yards with discarded sofas, old suitcases and tins of Tennant's. People who shout in the middle of the night, who ride scooters back and forth all day and night without going anywhere, people who throw out takeaway boxes through their windows, who's children stab other kids. Fuck 'em all.
