^ Its pretty lazy but I have done that when I know I'm just going to be 5 mins, you can't fit a d lock through a MTB wheel and frame easily and those cables are pointless in London anyway, I had one cut just for the sake of cutting it, they didn't steal anything.

with the spesh its one of those people who love buying tonnes of accessories isn't it. At least the D lock is through the frame, the ultimate in lazy would be just hung from the seat post ;)

Spotted this beaut on the South Bank, only explanation I could think of was it belongs to one of the street entertainers who can keep an eye on it at all times (but still, ffs):

If I was a thief I wouldn't touch that. I'd assume it was a trap! Cunning double bluff I say.

Cunning double bluff or rank stupidity, like the "faux" disc break on the front.
-
• #1413
I'm pretty sure it's rank stupidity. Unbelievable really!

^^ Could be a stolen front wheel

• #1415
Probably stole it after he crashed it and bent the front forks.

i'd lock to the cross bar at the top
Poor locking up facilities at my gym. Considering complaining...

^^ He's not worried about the bike being stolen, he's worried about the world tipping on it's side and his bike falling off the railings. He's seen Inception.

What a joke. I hate these bike stands that have been designed by people who don't have a clue about bike crime.

^^ or have a bike for that matter

they have the same ones at Decathlon stockport, the main difference is that each 'rack' has a lenth of nautical steel cable, so you can lock both wheels and frame

This is beyond retarded. That's right, it's locked only to the luggage rack. And it's not even as though they've just popped in for a minute; I saw the same bike locked the same moronic way two days ago.
edit: for some reason the photo isn't showing. Here's the link. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/833/imag0202o.jpg/

that's a very very expensive bicycle (Thorn Sherpa), unbelievable that the owner lock it via the rack.

Its not massively clear in the is pic but it is locked by that thin red string lock which is about 4mm thick. In the Victoria area, shocked it was still there when I cam out an hour later
