Okay. It seems there are more 27 inch 40 hole rims about than there are 700c. I guess that is because 36/40 was a common British lacing in the days when 27 inch was standard for road bikes. Track bikes would more likely have used the 700c size rims, but of course most of those were for tubs & I need a clincher.
