Blackheath is a really good place to live. Nice relaxed feel about the place. We moved here from hackney a couple of years ago.
You need to be more to the east of blackheath though if you are determined for a Greenwich school as the Lewisham border is close by.
Why are you so hot for a Greenwich school? They are a mixed bag too.. As everyone above mentions - good and bad are always pretty close together in london.
