as a side note: finding out about good places to live in london is not very easy, everyone says everywhere is shit. and places that aren't shit you have to be a millionaire to live in (or live with 15 people)

It's not easy, you have great little areas cheek by jowl with shit areas.

Deptford is a good place to look- I lived there and really enjoyed it, but then 2 French students were tortured to death down the road in New Cross by people who lived round the corner from me.

We were living in a £750,000 three floor place that was really nice- and people got shot 200 metres down the road, over nothing.

Londons like that.
