  • All the shirts I've had from COS have ripped in the same place, around the elbow/upper arm.

And I'm not exactly a hulk - they just seem to be cut for extremely skinny arms.

Also I've had a few buttons rip around the cloth. In the end when all 3 of them were a bit wrecked I just ripped them all up in a fury and now use them as rags for cleaning for my bike. Bit of a waste.

**I'm currently having a couple of shirts made at Timothy Everest - a bit pricey but just to see what it'd be like to see if it's a worthy investment.

The initial fittings were very thorough and the chap (Julian) was very helpful in terms of explaining cut/cuff/collar/button/ and the myriad other stylistic features.** **

They're ready now apparently but I haven't had time to go and try them on. Turn around of about 3 weeks.**

I like the fit of shirts from Uniqlo and they're decent value I reckon.

Also plus one on the M&S made to measure online thing - I'm ordering one from there to compare against the Timothy Everest ones.

Just as you'd expect, these were excellent - picked 'em up a couple of weeks ago now so they've had a fair bit of wear. One blue, one white. Lovely fit and cut, lovely material. Pricey, but nice. A bit like another provider of apparel I know.

120 quid a pop. Christ just typing that hurts :(
