The left bb cup unscrewed itself into the left crank arm and the right crank shifted over to the left and ran the smaller chainring into the frame, taking a healthy chunk of paint with it. It now seems that the bb I have been using for almost a year won't work without the chainring rubbing the frame. Very strange.
