Send it back and chalk it up to experience - You'll never be happy with it and it'll always have negative memories.
Wait for a better one to come, and buy parts in the meantime - the longer the project, the sweeter the build! -

A few months ago got some vintage Adidas cycling shoes, they arrived damaged and the seller wanted me to come out of pocket to return them. I told him to fuck off and made a claim with paypal. Seller claimed the damge happened in transit, and paypal decided neither of us was at fault. Got refunded all my money including postage and I kept the damaged shoes. They didn't cost 112 squids but not that much less really, maybe same thing might happen for this frame. Just tell paypal you refuse to come out of pocket to return it.

Hi all,
So I just purchased this lovely restored Harry Quinn on ebay...
Ha! That's hilariously awful, send it back immediately.
An absolute fucking hatchet job !!

p.s. seller claimed to do the restore himself, stated I got a good deal and likened it in messages to a 'restore by argos of bristol'.

ROFL WTF is that thing!
Have you been able to work out if underneath it is actually a quin frame?
Rattle can job + print UR own stickers aside, if its what its meant to be underneath its maybe not so bad. Ebay is just full of jokers though. -

FYI the seller was dave1941950 and deserves a big fat neg.
All sorted now. In fairness he sorted out a refund but I lost out on postage. IMO it doesn't change the fact you shouldnt be selling crap like that! Anyway, lesson learnt... my advice, stay away!

How does anyone get eBay to side with you on postage? I bought a camera from the US that was sold as working but was OBVIOUSLY broken (had a common fault).
The postage was around £40 with customs charges and the seller offered a full refund if I returned it, minus the postage. The camera itself was only £25 so I didn't see the point.
The seller was totally in the wrong but after countless chats with ebay 'customer support' we just kept coming back to the "well, the ebay rules state that the seller only has to offer a return minus postage" which is, as far as I'm concerned, a bit fucking ridiculous.
It's in the past now, but for future reference, how did you get the prepaid slip from eBay? -

You need to escalate a case via the Resolution Centre, wait until it's agreed that you've not come to an amicable agreement, and then let eBay make a decision. It worked for me.

I tried that, a few times. It went on for ages but they kept siding with him. I ended up speaking to a customer support person on live chat but she was useless and kept 'offering' me the option to return for full refund minus postage.
I just kept hitting a brick wall.
I may have just been unlucky.
Hmm, that must be a recent-ish (and long-overdue) change - I've been though the claims process a few times, and have always been out of pocket on the registered postage.
