You probably know this, but older Raleigh bikes can have non-standard Raleigh threads on the headset and bottom bracket. So the first step for anyone wanting to fit a sealed BB to an old Raleigh bike is to beg, borrow or steal a sealed BB to see if it screws in before sprurging money on a new one.
