A friend of mine has a giant bowery. He tried greasing, checked everything then took it back to where he bought it. Replaced the forks with some aftermarket steel ones - creak gone. Another guy I know bought one a few months ago, this creak is present on this one too.
Steel can't be welded to aluminium. It can be bonded but not welded.
