Recieved these today......neither are NOS, if a stems got insertion mark zig zags, scratches on and the bars have got tape residue at the logo end i'd say there's a good chance they're used.
If you're selling shit as NOS don't send fucking used!!

Then I apologize, will see with buyer for a refund. I'll try to apply the english manichean philosophy in the future. Thanks for the advice.

With all due respect, return the items to you in France, incur postage costs and with what guarantee of a refund? You've already sold me items you claimed to be NOS which are infact used.
I've pm'd you requesting a partial refund to reflect the value of the ACTUAL condition of the items you've sent. You've got an oppurtunity to make good on the deal...

I've bought loads of stuff from France recently with no issues. Seems to me that this seller has done everything to fix his 'mistake'.

Nice Old Stock ? Perchance a simple error.
Fear not tonyme. The frame will not be a picture frame, but a bike frame. And a very nice one too.
Well played fnf. A satisfactory outcome. -

Thanks for understanding. I had no bad intentions. I'll try to be more precise for my next sales, as I'll try to improve my english in the same time.

Given that a few people have posted after my last post and for the benefit of any potential sales on here in the future - the seller's apologised and given me a partial refund - not what i asked for and in reality no more than it would have cost the seller to have the items sent back but it's a gesture.
The language issue......there really isn't one, i'm getting perfect english by PM and slang terms being used but i would respectfully suggest he might be better served sticking to the same attitude he shows publicly to the ones he shows by pm. I don't really appreciate being told i'm blackmailing someone...
You claimed to have sold enough items on the French forum to know categorically the difference between NOS and used, there was no misunderstanding there, you simply weren't being upfront and for that reason and despite the fact i have recieved a gesture of a refund i'm afraid i would still suggest buyer beware, ask for plenty of pictures and a thorough description.

Fair point. This...
ask for plenty of pictures and a thorough description.
...is probably not a bad approach anyway I guess.
Will the bars clean up ok with a bit of fine wet and dry and some polish, btw?

I'm pretty sure they will, it's more the marks to the stem but hey these things get marks over time anyway i guess. End of the day NOS as we know should be new, yeah NOS can sometimes have marks through storage etc but not fitted and presumably used.
Regardless i'm gonna get them fitted and enjoyed :)

I've never been disrespectful to you by PM. Okay the use of "blackmailing" was exagerated I'm sorry for that. Just found the partial refund of 20£ you asked me was exagerated considering the original price of 60£ for the combo. I gave you 13£, you accepted it it. Plus I asked you 10£ for the shipping, whereas I had to paid 15£ in my post office. I never complained about that. So finally you got a bargain on shipping AND a refund of 13£. I think you're also makin' a good deal right here, so stop complaining and being so pernickety about marks of insertion that will never be seen when mounted.
I was wrong about NOS and I reckonize it, I apologize about that. I think we fixed this problem the good way and I've been responsive and reactive to your desagrement. I also could have sayed to you to go to hell but I didn't. I paid you. And not because I'm afraid of my reputation right here on this forum, but because it was the right thing to do. You didn't even thanked me after the refund. That's not what I call a respectful attitude, mate.
Now I don't wanna hold forth on, and just want to be clear. -

You may think you've not been particularly disrespectful but accusing me of blackmail is pretty extreme and unjust seeing as you'd misrepresented the item from the get go. Okay you apologise for that, apology accepted but i think it's clear from your last post you've have no problem grasping the english language so perhaps in future you'll be absolutely explicit with your descriptions.
To clarify the postage point, you requested £12 - i offered you £70 total by way of paypal 'gift' to assume you would get the full £70 thus more than you'd recieve by way of a regular payment of £72 sent the traditional way which, with the benefit of hindsight, would have been a much safer way of sending the money, giving me some comeback if the goods weren't right or as described which in this case they weren't.
I accept your apologies, i'm not sure what you expected by way of thanks? If i've fallen short in that area then that's my lookout and something i may need to consider for the future but after being sold the items as NOS and being accused of blackmailing you i didn't really feel up for a huge PM of thanks, moreso an end to the issue and we move on. Something i think we've now achieved.
