I used to work there. The state of the locking and regularity of theft was silly.
It sounds as if they could use some advice on improving their bike parking arrangements, too.

the other day I saw a chav riding a red dawes conversion with a white spok around there. Maybe he wasn't a chav, maybe he was going to the gym
was the bike they left behind any good? once my mate had his langster nicked and they left behind some nasty trek hybrid thing, that was when I realised they nick rubbish bikes for a reason

Has anyone lost a grey and white BMC cyclocross bike?
Saw a guy riding one on Bethnal Green Rd on Tuesday who definitely hadn't bought it from a shop, I don't really have any details but if you've had the above bike stolen it is still out there.

Seen this too nice looking bike, rider looks like P-Thugg from Chromeo sans beard and rides umpteen hybrids plus back catalogue of Genesis Flyers.
he look like this: http:i37.photobucket.com/albums/e51/sophie1981/P-THUGG-CHROMEO.jpg

Anyone come across a celeste (pale green) aerospoke? Gardener left the gate open and only the frame was chained overnight. Has a few chips on the inside of the spokes.

London fields update: very distinctive raw metal frame with curvy seattube ( but not lopro), tiny head tube and small (24"?) White deep v rims. Anyone's?
Edit: should have said it's being flogged by the bike thieves at the southern gate. -

hi, i've never posted anything any forum and apparently i cant post anything new hence the reply.
my bike got stolen last night between 7.30pm and 11pm in angel :( i did report it to the police and emailed a picture to the cycle task force but i figured it wouldn't hurt if more people look out for it! it does stand out and it was really well looked after, looked like new.it's a charge plug freestyler 2009, the fork has been replaced but is also charge. both frame and fork have been powdercoated plain black so the only places that still say charge are the stem and the chainring. green rims and chain, a vavert women's saddle, vittoria randonneur tyres, 42 tooth chainring and 16 tooth fixed/freewheel cog. it still has both front and rear brake on which is quite rare on a fixie, no? ;)
there's a lil green skull sticker on the front of the stem and a purple and green "koffin kats" sticker on the frame, don't know how easily they would get them off or if they would bother if they try to sell it on?please let me know if anyone sees it, thanks!!!

It wasn't locked, but stolen from the pit area, where you'd expect the team's bikes to be safe:
You may be genuinely unaware of this high-profile theft. I would assume that magnier is Andy Magnier:
http://twitter.com/andymagnier/status/79711137549127680
Hope it is found, Andy. These thefts of high-end bikes happen so often on the European racing circuit that you'd assume the bikes are split for parts. It's hard to imagine that they go to private collectors who keep them in private museums, as apparently happens with art.
Hi there,
Do you mean don't post messages about stolen bikes in this forum or on gumtree? It would be good to know what to do about mine that went last night
-
• #6623
^ can I ask how it was locked? I hope you get a good lead soon. Scour gumtree if you're not already. And if you see it there remember not to post about it directly here as thieves monitor this thread from time to time.
Sorry, last post should have gone with this thread!

No, do post your bike, ideally with pictures, but also make sure to send pictures to the Cycle Task Force. Just don't post on here when you've seen a Gumtree ad or eBay listing, as this might make sellers nervous. Send all this information directly to the police. I assume you've seen this thread:

Ah, I see, didn't spot that in time.
Two of my bikes were stolen from an underground garage in Battersea, Sw11 on Saturday night.....but only discovered this on Tuesday.
Roadie is a Time Pulse B box replica, white with turquoise detailing and black deacals, ksyrium Es, carbon campagnolo centaur, white fiz'ik Pave, white bar type and WHITE hudz - quite distinctive. The MTB was a 2008 Specialized Pitch Pro in brown, with Fiz'ik gobi saddle, SLX double crank, chain device, Pike forks, Hope twin pot front brake.
Probably way too late, but I'll hit the markets on the weekend.
Anyone know much about Battersea bike thiefs/gangs? Apparently another chap had an equally expensive Roadie nicked the same night.
