Actually, I think discussing the deceased isn't necessarily a bad thing. I cannot imagine that when Thatcher goes anyone will suggest that the inevitable thread about her should be kept respectful and polite.
It's not outrageous to ask if Haw really achieved anything. Madrobar asked in a crass way but I thought Digger's response was uncalled for. Now Madrobar has proved to be not worth defending.
