What an epic ride...where to begin...
Thanks skive for leading and for gps reading abilities. Stone (aka Mr Positivity) for the cheerleading. All you others for the combination of chocolate, rum, jelly babies and general banter.
I managed to get on the Pewsey 10:17. There was only one fricking foldup bike on there! All the seats were reserved so slept curled up in a ball in the gangway. I stank so bad.
My left knee is killing me, the last 10-15 miles to Pewsey took every last drop out of me. It was all worth it though, so glad enough people missioned on to the stones.
Highlights for me included seeing all the Gandolphs at Avebury, the scouse lasses at the pubstop, that pisstaking rabbit that kept running ahead and the sheep rescue. Inspiring stuff.
Looking forward to the next big ride...the next ton won't be so hard I hope!
