I understand your position and I sympathize to some extent but unfortunately your 'going fixed' logic is flawed. A bike like that in it's original set up will almost always be worth more than a modified one even if you believe it's been 'upgraded'. Collectors will want original paint and components. If, like you say, an original, built up bike like this goes for around £450 here, removing a full Record group set (not you I realise) Is like knocking off £200 straight away, taking the F+F down to say £250. Regardless of what you replace it with it's going to struggle to get past it's original price of £450. Unfair, I realise, given the time and effort you've put in but that's just the way it works with collectors. That said, you should have little trouble getting close to your asking on Ebay.
