The fail is that while you guys sit here whining about how much of a fail these other peoples bikes are, they're probably out there riding them like they obviously have been for fucking ages, with none of the supposed problems you guys like to preach about on the internet.
I mean Ed, ffs, you've ridden brakeless fixed plenty of times so you're in no position to criticize freewheel with front brake only!
I know far more people who have snapped chains than have snapped front brake cables...so what makes it more of a fail?
The fact that the brooklyn above clearly gets ridden hard shows that the person riding it clearly has no trouble riding it freewheel with just a front brake.
