Grumpy Goblin will never win it.
He'll cook up some way of losing so he can feel badly done to and go to his room where he'll play Emo music, write tortured poetry and self harm with the blade from a pencil sharpener.

That's why he's getting help. I believe it's called 'crowd sourcing'. booming evil laugh

Why hate Cunego? Or Leipheimer, for that matter?
Cunego rode like a champ, making stage three on of the best days of racing I've ever seen. Leipheimer rode a clinical race, both him and Cunego rode brilliantly to their personal strengths.
What's to hate?
Cunego - just thinking about all the reasons they sounded pretty silly and irrational and to list them here would come across as petty. At any rate i don't like him in the way sometimes you just don't like someone. But can i mention the "i'm doping free" fake tatoos please and Lampre's history? And ex teammates (Ballan, Bruseghin, Simoni) all saying he is a prick and him just generally being a twat in the press (I speak Italian). The fact that he is from Verona and they are all Liga Nord voting fascist pricks. Oh and the way he would deliberately lose time in early stages of grand tour to get a stage win later as he would be out of GC? He is a better rider than being a stage chaser and so I found it a bit slack him going up against weaker riders who perhaps genuinly lost that time getting in breaks. Anyway, i was surprised at how well he rode this and fair play to him. I honestly thought that his high level career was over.
Liepheimer - the same irrational stuff. Don't like the look of him, his Praying Mantas TT style, one of Armstrongs henchmen. His silly stature...i mean, his body just looks strange. The whole quiet assasin thing he has.....but yeah, you're right, there isn't actually much to dislike. I found it all though!
Anyway, as pro-cyling isn't like football where you have a team or even a rider to support at the exclusion of all others, really we are just after a good race....and for certain riders we dislike (Pozzato, Cunego, Valverde, most of team Sky in my case) to lose.
But to be honest I'm not really looking forward to the tour. I really the think the only thing that can save it is Contador bombing at some point due to giro induced tiredness.

WTF? If you know you're not going to win overall and have a chance at a stage, then sure as shit losing time early on is a sensible ploy. Hmm.. I could win a stage or win fuck all.. I'm a bike racer, what would I choose?
You don't like the LOOK of Liepheiemer? Seriously?

yeah...seriously. You asked why i don't like him. i told you dude. i also acknowledged that it was pretty irrational. Some people just piss me off and i struggle to articulate why. Might be that Daddy didn't love me enough when i was a boy. who knows?
And yeah i do think it is weak of a rider to deliberately drop time. I know it's within the rules and pro cycling is littered with occasions of riders totally disreagarding the rules never mind the corinthian spririt of sport. The fact is that he is fine to go and do it - but it's also cool if that shits me, right? For a rider of his quality to devalue maybe a top 5 or 10 finish in a grand tour for the chance of a stage win winds me up.
Tell me of the riders you dislike and why you dislike them? I sure as shit won't challenge your right to it.

*Look *for some way of losing? Like having to compete against Contador and Rasmussen and their doping fueled brilliance? I think you would feel badly done by too if after those lying shits had had their fun you lost the Tour by a few seconds.

David Millar was in a minority of one when he expressed shock when Vino was finally caught doping.
-
• #544
Didn't Vino himself also express shock, as much as his demeanour allowed him. Something along the lines of, "Vino is shocked that Vino has been caught doping. Vino's flat intonation and icy stare should tell you this. Vino is angry with everyone in the sport except David Millar, who is Vino's friend."

The source of the mystery Vino twitter account becomes clear!
-
• #546
What's 'twitter'? Is it something to do with online banking?
-
• #547
is it a brand of douche?

I thought a douche was a satchel or something.
