I have one bike called 'Trigger's Broom' that started off as a specialized rockhopper which I converted and smashed up over the past decade or so ~ has had 3 new frames and countless new wheels and other bits and bobs hence the moniker. atm it is some sort of taped up indiscriminate affair with the wrong kind of brake levers and someone else's handlebars.
I rode fixed for a while a few years back but put a freewheel back on when I realised how slow I was riding...
