  • Arghh no no no Si, it's a separate bham ride that I forgot about. I was joking about all nighters for sure!

    Take the solstice convo elsewhere...

  • I'd be more up for (part) of this, due to lack of decent lights for night riding, and the cause and all... Be nice to ride with some of the Londoners too.

  • aw shucks. backatcha steve.

jess, i thought that was a bit mental before a century ride

  • How early we thinking of leaving? 7/8?

  • shhh! we're trying to get XH to come. he'll run a mile if he sees that!
    joke, discuss away...

  • aw come on, you know how hardXcore I am! Joke, I need you there for moral support. Xander's run a mile already...pity he can't cycle 100+!

Gimme a chance to look at the route and we'll work it out. If we don't wanna get to London too late for X's birthday than I reckon pretty early. It will take about ten hours non? Plus factor in stops and lunch.

  • i would've thought 10 hours would include lunch stop. hard to know how often we'll need other stops/get lost!

  • You all riding it fixed?

  • Do NOT say the L word on this thread! We'll be fine if I don't lead...

I'll probably have a go on my geared bike if I've finished building it by then, need to get used to it really but some people will be riding fixed Fin.

  • Tah love, been looking for that gmap pedometer link to work out terrain!

  • You all riding it fixed?

i probably am, but a mixture i think. dan i don't think will want to risk his knees before his 3 dayer. have you done it fixed before Fin, any bastard hills?

  • Hmm this looks curious too. All go on the ride front, all of a sudden. No bad thing.

  • It's what we're meant to be doing afterall Tom! Not chatting and drinking all the time... a combination of the lot and its win-win.

I have a clash. quickest flounce ever.

  • Is the route planned out yet? - I might join you guys for a bit if there's a suitable bail-out station along the way

  • Nice one Tom 6pt you big flouncer!

Not finished yet Tomd...why plan to bail? You might surprise yourself!

  • a: Don't particularly feel like going to London
    b: I'm not that fit
c: It'll be fixed, which is still fairly new to me

  • Understandable.
Pace won't be mad but route will include several places to drop off.
You'll be fine, quite a few people riding fixed. I'm riding gears though...it is quite a distance and don't think my poorly knee is up to it.

whoah whoah whoah sweet child of mine! ;)

tom, i'm sure there will be times when we are fairly close to a train station, that shouldn't put you off trying. and riding in a group makes everything a lot more manageable. you might surprise yourself.
