.ai is native to illustrator.
Try and .eps or even an .svg export
They should both be better supported.

Yeh, when in doubt, eps. Editable pdfs when that's not available(?). Corel is used almost exclusively by game concept artists and such whereas illustrator is used by, er, every-one except concept artists.
an eps or editable pdf might not be quite malleable enough for some-one doing some crazy shit.

It's not meant for anything too crazy. Just tshirt graphics. Thanks for all the advise though, I'll send out an eps and pdf just in case.
Hi there, I'm handing over some AI files (CS4) to a mate who will be converting them to Corel. He was asking for "curve" files (which I guess means vectors). I sent the files as AI, which it looks to me are importable to corel, however, the clipping masks are "hiding" the outlines.
I have absolutely no idea how Corel works. I know that in illustrator you can "edit contents" of the clipping mask, but is this good enough? I'm also a bit of an illustrator noob (learn as I go), should my ai files be fine as they are? Should I be worried that he's using Corel?
