Epic win

caught up to a couple of cycle cops this morning as I got to the junction by bank.

we both head along poultry onto cheapside and are waiting at the lights outside st pauls.

between us and a full 3 feet past the ASL and encroaching on the dotted lines of the ped crossing is a tfl-stickered private hire cab.

cops give him benefit of the doubt given it looks like he got caught out by a signal change to be so far ahead of the line.

lights change but he's slow pulling away, I look in his window and see he's holding his blackberry.

I say in a very upbeat calm voice to myself 'come on mate, get off your phone'

copper hears me, looks in passenger window. bellows at the driver "You! pull over. RIGHT THERE!" and points at the far side of the junction.

cue me riding off laughing like a loon as the copper continues to shout at the cabbie as he pulls over.

well done HatBread. the amount of times you see drivers texting whilst driving. ive almost been knocked over so many times by drivers swerving because they were looking at a phone.
