All swings and roundabouts Dammit-get why you're annoyed but there has to be a degree of self-responsibility from the buyer and its part of the nature of buying second hand that there's a bit of risk.
I bought some wheels off here a while back as a cheap post-crash replacement and knew the rims were pretty worn (sold with the 'couple of seasons' caveat) but bought them thinking I could replace them... Just enquired about getting replacements from Mavic (dealer only parts apparently) and they no longer produce them any more, and I'm having doubts about the whole couple of seasons wear too...
I knew they were worn when I got em but it was my assumption I could still get the rims and I doubt the seller would have deliberately duped me so going to have to chalk it up to experience as my failing for not checking this out before I bought 'em!
