Chainring mmkay

Hi Guys,

After a stroll through your collective knowledge please.

I had noticed a bit more noise coming from down below recently and thought I heard a crack of sorts this morning. Looked at the chain as I've had once partially break on me before, but that was fine, then noticed that the ring bolts were pretty much all loose and one had actually fallen out completely. What do you think is the damage done to my chain ring/chain etc, or should I be fine just bolting everything up again? Do I need a new ring and chain? Does that necessitate a new rear cog? etc

My concern is the chain is now very slack but I haven't investigated whether that is due to the loss of shape of the ring(unlikely?) or just the fact that the ring may be sitting 'further back' as it's loose.

I'm on a stock Fuji 2010 classic with no mods to the drive.

Oh, other thing, are ring bolts pretty standard? Will any sort do as a replacement for Little Lost Bolt (gawdblessim)?

just tighten them up properly

any single ring chainring bolt will be fine, evans do the ison ones. i recommend using loctite threadlock on them, the red one, then you just wont have to worry about it but will still be able to loosen them when you want

Is it a kmc 410 chain? They stretch alot, 510hx is much better. A chainbolt tool will help grip them when you tighten with allen key

I think you want the colour of the actual loctite liquid to be blue... The red stuff can only be removed by heating and is basically permanent. Note that my bottle of blue (liquid) loctite came in a red bottle. Confusing enough?
