    • how are couriers employed (full-time/part-time/casual/contract)

full time/ part time / casual but NO contract :(

    • how are couriers paid (salaried/fixed-comission/variable-comission etc)

    Cash, in my experience

    • who handles insurance/bags/radios etc.
      **Insurance?!?!? what insurance? **

The company I worked for provided phones (we didnt use radios) and could sort you out with a shit bag until you got your own. This is definately different in London (I worked in Manchester) as far as I know

    • what %age revenue couriers take home
Not enough relative to the work done. Almost always
  • ≠ glamour

  • above board logistics.

you won't be wanting the insights of any pushbike couriers then.

  • okay sounds like a goer.

  • think I have an inkling about what you may be upto benjam - if its what I think it is then good on you, could be a bit of a game changer if it catches on

  • ;)

  • so Benjam I'm a courier and have been for way too long. What is this project you're on about? It would be nice to know rather than asking for information without giving any yourself.
