Best not to do it. Last year on two occasions ended up in hospital, one with a mild concussion and cut to the head - fell over in front of a taxi who drove away and then some good samaritans thought I had been hit and flagged down a police car.
The second time I was found unconscious on the side of Liverpool Road knocked the fuck out and still have no recollection. The nice ambulance people put my bike in the back and took it too hospital.
No big and not clever - scared the shit out of the missus the second time (and myself) and so now ride everywhere with a helmet
