Might be a stupid question - what brake does one use under the bb?
Depends on how the frame has been built, the modern way is to put canti bosses in the right place to use one of these but if you want a conventional brake with a very narrow aspect to clear the chainrings, the Simkins Egg brake looks like a good choice or maybe a eebrake Old school TT brakes like Modolo Kronos, Campag Delta, DuraAce AX and Dia Compe AGC300 are also narrow
