A wee clear out of under the stairs. Collection welcome just off Broadway Market or Holborn for small bits, I don't really want to post unless I have to so priority will got to picker-upers.

First up, Terry Dolan built Cougar.
Frame is 531 Competition, forks are 653.
TT = 53.5 ctc / ST = 53 ctt
Campag Record headset
English BB

Chrome on the forks is excellent, paint is a bit corroded in some spots (front mech) but has a nice sparkle to it. I re-greased the headset and turned the crown race around, the BB shell has been chased / cleaned out. Minuscule ding on the top tube which will affect nothing. Aggressive geo and tight clearances.* *

3TTT stem, 115mm. Really nice tear-drop aero shape, some scratches but not annodized so it would polish up very well. Sad to see it go tbh but I'm too short ever to need a 115mm stem.

Masterblaster Mini Pump with gauge and frame mount. Never really used, almost as new.

*Vintage wheelset, Campagnolo Record Hubs laced to Arc en Ciel World Champ tubular rims. I rode them for a while but one of the tubs started rolling off and I got scared. Could be re-glued and tensioned, or just cut the spokes and have a nice hub set. Screw on freewheel or cassette. Repacked recently.

Outland bullhorns, uncut. They have a nice drop to them. Pretty scratched up due to fitting, nothing bar tape wouldn't cover. My callipers say the clamp area is 25.7mm vertically and 26mm horizontally so probably more like 26mm over all. I've removed the stem in the photos, it's in the bin.

*Shimano 105 Aero pedals with plastic cages and leather Zefal straps. Pretty good nick, threads are excellent, bearing smooth, chrome perfect but one of the cages has snapped.

*Dura Ace 7400 cup and cone BB. Tapers and threads perfect, zero pitting, almost like new actually apart from cosmetic scuffs etc. Seals intact and the lock ring isn't even mashed. English threading, 112mm, NJS stamped.

**** Shimano 600 Arabesque Callipers. Fairly good nick, a bit of pitting but all the parts are present and correct, apart from the rubber coating on one of the quick release bits. Springs are good, pads have a bit of life left. Max drop around 60mm I reckon but I can measure if anyone needs to know.

Nice frame. Out of interest, what condition are the pads on the callipers like? Replaced the originals?

TheorySwine > The front ones are Aztec, I ran the brake on my commuter for ages and they are really good actually, though now pretty worn. I don't know about the rear ones as I never mounted the brake on anything... they look pretty old school.

Those wheels would look so good on my blue Alan. You mention them needing tensioning, how true are they?

I don't have a stand and I've not ridden them in a while but they were pretty true from what I remember. I would defo take them to a shop / wheelbuilder for a £10 spruce up before riding.

Haha, no worries. I doubt anyone would want it otherwise. To be honest the yellow is more yellow and less neon yellow so it might look weird. You can have it for free.

I have one of these pumps, it is pretty good. easily get up to 80-90psi which I've struggled with alot of mini pumps. Also has an accurate and easily readable pressure gauge.

I'm not too clued up on pump technology but this pumps both when you push and pull, which I thought was cool.

PLus they're about £19 i think so not a bad price, ya gettin steak for the price of a sausage.
