I will take the wheels to a qualified mechanic and get his or her views on the matter- at the moment I feel like I have paid for two wheels, and got one, and that one wheel is made from the front hub and the rear rim.
I will get the wheels repaired/replaced and up to the standard that they should have been when I bought them, and then I'll keep them as they will owe me more than I'll ever be able to sell them for.
