Thanks loafheads, I'd seen yours, nice, but I don't think a Mancunian track bike could pull it off...

I looked at those, look very good for the money, bit put off by the fact everyone says they are actually 25.0ish not 26.0 and claims the threading isn't good - what did you think of it?
-

That was actually my comment. Mine was 25.0mm!
It required plenty on Bendāge to fit 3ttt 26.0mm bars. But it's nice quality, as good as Cinelli.

Interesting. I reckon I can apply some bendāge. Seems worth doing so for the price.
Am I right in thinking it isn't actually made of cro-mo?

Just wind the clamp in (without a 2p), and clamp it right down. I have no issues with doing this as they have plenty of metal there and it flexes over the whole front area.
It's not cromo, that's just Planet X being silly.

That figures, I was wondering how on earth it could be cro-mo...
I'm quite possibly being dim here, but doesn't winding the clamp right down make the hole smaller?

It flexes the opening letting it open just enough to get the bars on. Somehow my bars didn't scratch at all. I guess because the stem is painted.

Ah ok, great, cheers for the advice miro_o. Going to order one tonight, just looking at bars now. I'll be sure to do my old trick of lubing up the bars to avoid scratches too...

No worries.

That looks suspiciously similar to my stem, which is also a 3ttt one. I'd say it was 25.4, didn't want to force it onto some 26 bullhorns, but it looked like it would go, wIth effort!
After a decent quality black quill stem, preferably about 10cm.
Not too much drop (not lower than 70 degrees or so) and ideally 26.0, hence asking for a road stem.
Maybe a Pearl or Technomic (I do like Nitto), also like the look of the long gone 3ttt Synthesis...
Whatchya got?
