Claridges Bar on Monday night, went in for one drink, to check it out and pretend to be posh... I was with a group of 6 blokes and we all had our medals on.
Got talking to some random geezer who insisted on buying drinks, and who ended up spending £750 on champagne. This was on top of several pints of Pride, and more champagne at the evening do we'd all been to. Nothing to eat except nibbles on trays.
I was minging when I woke up. The commute from Camden Town to Canary Wharf seemed to take about 5 minutes. I remember being on the wrong side of the road near the British Library. As soon as I walked into the office, my workmate knew I was pissed, and told me not to go near any bosses because I stank of booze, even after a shower.
The hangover kicked in at about 11. I spent the afternoon being very sorry for myself.
