Ha!
Chris, just some waterproof sandpaper 1000 in my case, a rag, some polishing paste and elbow grease will do. -

Nice rig and nice price!
54cm and £225 you say? I've nearly spent that on just wheels (which are not wheels yet). Fake moser or not, looks alright for ht price, but whats happening with that rear mech, has it been re-assembled the wrong way?

the chain is only round one cog...

yes they are a bit fiddly! When attaching the cage to the rest of the mech it needs to go on upside down to begin with, turn the bolt 1 rotation to get it up to the spring, then turn the cage anti-clock to the correct position then continue tightening the bolt, might be best having a go in a vice, but anyway, it won't have done the mech any harm.
just interested as frustrated with time of my own build so a ready built of similar quality is looking VERY appealing right now, though there is no £££ in the coffers to fund such a move right at the moment. -

Chris, just some waterproof sandpaper 1000 in my case, a rag, some polishing paste and elbow grease will do.somewhere I read oven cleaner is good for getting off the hard anodising? with seatposts i start with 400 then 600 dry, then 600 wet, then 1200 and soap.
My old Alfa GTV cam covers came up a treat with 1000 and Redex!! mmmmmmm t o l u e n e ( lethal btw! :-0 ) -

Yeah, if you want to go all the way, that's how to do it - be carefull though.
I just had to sand of some mild alu corrosion.I had my cranks polished with a machine last weekend and even then it took quite a while to get the anodising off.

**F. Moser - early 80's **
Most probably fake, so could be either a Norta, Jupiter King or Jan Janssen? (No Veronica, I know that.)
Size 54cm st (c-t)
54cm tt (c-c)
Nice early 80's frameset with ovalized/aero downtube, seattube and rearstays from Tange tubes (probably #1) and Shimano drop-outs.
From the time Shimano introduced their first aero groupsets to the public.
Fine condition, with some little spots here and there and a little rust on the spokes.
Groupset is a bit of a mix and I somehow managed to mess up the rear mech whilst cleaning. I guess it's only the spring, but I know how to get it back in the right way, even with the Park explanation..
I polished up the crankset, pedals, clips, levers and callipers.
Chrome on forks is very good.
Would make a cool conversion, restoration or just leave her as is.
I think it's a lovely color..
