Riding in Asia - Thailand and Vietnam - Advice please!

I cycled from Da Nang south to Saigon. Coastal road typically has a wide enough shoulder to cycle along safely and the food was amazing.

So there's already a thread for this... I'm thinking of something on a slightly larger scale next year... 6-9 months, Singapore - Ha Noi - Singapore. Gonna be mega. Get a chance to really explore the area... EEI is coming along for a month of it as well if I can persuade him!
