That was quick! No clues needed. I'd say that's impressive!

You've had someone sort your pictures for you - the least you could do in return is post a clue ...

I don't remember having problems with pictures.

Thank you KT, worked out the problem - like a numpty I kept clicking 'link' icon to post the image link and not the 'image' icon. All sorted now, very easy clue this time too.

I can't take credit for sorting the photos ... think that may have been Oliver Schick. Thanks for the clue, though!

When you first posted it, the images were fine for some reason. I think you may then have edited in the html code somehow, but don't ask me why. :)

Well done Hamster! This was the site of the massive star shaped Millbank Prison (now Tate Britain) where prisoners were held immediately prior to transportation to Australia. Prisoners leaving for Australia had "Prisoner of Her Majesty" imprinted on their clothes, (the Aussie term Pom is said to derive from this). Apparently the stone in the tag was a capstan used for roping the prison barges while they collected the prisoners. Interestingly, the Morpeth Arms opposite still has access to the underground tunnels used to ferry prisoners to the barges and if you ask the landlady nicely she'll give you a quick tour, more info:

I'll fix it when I get home but it seems it's all in vain. Gutted.

thanks for the history oat. pleased to finally know one of these straight away. been an 'armchair' player for a while as my normal cycling route barely takes me inside the south circular.
i'll leave it up to the masses as to whether my new tag is too obscure or not - i found the plaque one day and it tickled me so here you go. -

Note to self, don't announce, get on the bike.

Found it, but I'm currently avoiding E. Coli in N. Germany ... now, if it's still untagged by the weekend ...

Hmm, so it's not on streetview then? Bugger!

YAAAHHSSS! Rivington Street, just off Shoreditch High Street.
Lucky the sun wasn't out or I might have got toasted.

• #2598
Ah, but is it?
The photo above clearly isn't the same wall. -

I thought POM stood for Prisoner of Millbank?

I think BlueQueen is right; that does not look like the same place. Dbr isn't having much luck this week.
Fixed.
