Bought in 1979 for £30 in original chrome. Used for 10 and 25 mile mile time trails 1979-1981. PB 24.01 in 1981 aged 16 (48x16). Now aged 46, the chrome long rusted, a respray in british racing green and cream and last night 26.52 (48x15) after 30 years. Brought back many memories... can I get back down to the PB?? Apart from the frame the pedals and brake lever are the same. I have the original SR chainset but treated her to a new one.

a question though if i may - if you're doing 10 and/or 25 miles - why are you up from saddle on the plain bit (not uphill)? or was that just a finish sprint or smthn?
