Looks like it's on Digger's arse
I surely would have noticed.

It even says on their aftercare leaflety thingy....
From a skin healing standpoint it makes a little sense- as it works like it does in burns, acting as a nice barrier to prevent infection, as well as cutting down on friction rip of nascent scabs.

One doesn't want to correct their advice but I remove clingfilm the next morning, hot wash and then in a few minutes moisten with bepanthen and keep it moist with bepanthen until I get bored of fussing around (a week?)

But I do know peeps who've got good healing results with extensive clingfilm use.
-
• #3881
why can't there just be a standard practice.....
think I'm going to just put one on when I go running/ to the gym. and otherwise Bepanthen it the fuck up. -

Is there anywhere good for walk-ins? In London?

Henners: Woundcare: Moist healing better than dry healing.

I remove the cling film after a couple of hours, wash, pat dry and then use Bepanthen.
Heals very fast - around a week.
With Savlon you'll get dry scabs which - when accidentally pulled off by your clothing - will damage the tattoo and leave parts with weak colour. -

I'm after something simple, a hexagon, should look a bit scientific.

Marcus did mine but he's booked up for a few months at a time, he may have a slot though? Christie is quite good for linework
You could try Emiliano @ Frith St, he did my 'anchor' & 'Louie' the other week, good line work

...Bepanthen it the fuck up.
Biggest mistake to make with Bepanthen is using too much. You only need enough to cover it with a very thin film otherwise you end up with quite a thick moist scab forming which can draw some of the ink out and will fall off quite early in the healing process.
As far as cling-film goes, I normally use it for the first couple of nights to prevent any serious rubbing whilst in bed. Other than that, I leave it uncovered from about 3 hours after the appointment and use Bepanthen twice a day after washing the area with a mild antibacterial soap.

Top tip, put the tube of bepanthen in some hot water for a few minutes before use, becomes much easier to apply.

+1, thats what i do. Maybe after a few days change from bepanthen (too greasy) to vaseline intensive care. Colours are still bright.

If only we lived in a world where everyone always said things in the most straightforward way, wouldn't that be an exciting place.
Naaat.
Henry - take the cling film off, if you haven't already. A couple of hours.
