How can I shrink an image down to an acceptable size for the forum and upload it easily after taking it on my Android phone?

Struggling to do this at the moment. And yes could Google but on my mobile for the next 5 days.

I just downloaded an app (Image Shrink Lite) that can resize images. Using this, I go to gallery, click "share", click "Image Shrink Lite", select resize options, select AndFTP, and bingo! Done.
