They are SPD's

you've already started a thread asking the exact same question and i answered it for you. it's not really necessary is it?
-
• #4
Oh I didnt see the other thread. Shame on you rjohnson
-
• #5
you should be ashamed of yourself...
-
• #6
sorry sorry il remove the other thread its just I felt I posted it in the wrong place... I would like to know what kind of SPD's are compatible thoughtI know they do a few different kinds!
-
• #7
nah, you just posted two consecutive threads asking the exact same thing :)

These and these will work
Obviously using different pedals but will both fit the shoe -
• #9
^ thankyou just what I wanted!

Yo just another quick question which is better the shimano pedal system or the Time Atacs? I think i've heard that the Shimano's unclip?
-
• #11
With shimanos the pedals wear down faster where as with the atacs the cleat wears down faster.
Ive been riding with spds for the past year but have found myself unclipping more and more when skidding.
Im thinking about swapping to times -
• #12
ive been riding the same spds and cleats for about a year and a half now, i've never unclipped but then xander rides brakeless and does way more skidz than me. i shall be buying new cleats and pedals for ma new bike which will be brakless! there is a specific thread with a rather large discussion on the finer points of each retention system but at the end of the day there isn't one that is "better"

i was looking for that thread last night but couldn't find it... anyone got a link?

Does anyone know what the differences are in cleat thickness's ie which will make least contact with the ground when walking? I've bought some Chrome Kursk Pros in order to have some clipless shoes that I can wear with jeans etc and not feel silly. However they have a relatively thin tread so they tap dance a bit with the shimano cleats that I currently use (with Specialized MTB shoes).
Google suggests that Eggbeaters may have the lowest profile but I hear mixed reviews of their performance.

time cleats sit a bit higher off the ground and are better/more secure than eggbeaters

The Time cleats on my Kursks do still touch the ground slightly, but then again, I only got the shoes a week ago and the cleats are brand new so once they're worn in a bit it shouldn't sound like I'm tap dancing everywhere.
The shoes also feel no-where near as safe and secure as my Specialized MTB shoes (but I guess that's obvious!) -

Why don't you just get a bag and put some shoes in it?
-
• #18
Or just get a car.
?

Thanks for the responses!
^^ Bizarrely enough I do already have a bag! I don't always want to carry a spare pair of shoes with me though, especially if I'm going to the pub. I can also use platform pedals and clips/double straps, I just fancied some clipless shoes that look ok with normal clothes and can't always be bothered to change my pedals.
^ I could get a car, I could get the bus, I could get a taxi. In fact why bother with a bike at all?

Exactly! Bikes are crap. Also why would anyone want a pair of shoes that look casual enough to go out in, whilst still having the convenience of using clipless pedals. What a silly idea.

You've convinced me, the shoes are in the bin and the bike's being melted down to make spoons. I'll never have to buy another spoon in my life, cheers!
Hi just wondering if anybody knew what cleat and pedal systems are compatible with the Chrome Kursk Pros? Cheers!
