The bearings in my rear hub on my Allez Elite 2009 failed and there was absolutely no way of opening/adjusting the hub at all. It's like it was press fit together with no intention of anyone being able to repair one. Disposable hubs and plain guage spokes.
I replaced it with a Tiagra hub and some DB spokes.
