No we aren't. There is a much smaller group who know each other and mistake themselves for 'the community'. Most of the people on here have never met each other. The Classifieds section has become almost independent of the rest of the forum. Selling over priced stuff is one thing but to decry it because we are all *mates *is living in a fantasy world.

So we shouldn't defend the way classifieds work on here and instead drift aimlessly into a bike-specific bastard version of Gumtree? Right. This 'community' might not spend Christmas together - and they are definitely a few members who seem to take a slightly perverse pleasure in knifing newbies - but on the whole if you've been around here for a while people do look after each other. And if you can be arsed to go to one of the beer meets, you'll find friendly faces there too.
