hommes has arrived, she's built up and ready to ride and i'm fooooking well chuffed.
BUT i wonder, what does everyone reckon about the tyres? i'm new to tubs. should i just get the tyres that are on it glued up, or should I upgrade before I even glue them?

I would convert them to run clinchers myself... have seen something you can add to tubular rims to allow them to take clinchers...

really?

if you say re-build the wheel i'm going to nerg your ass!
-
• #34
no no... there are some kind of strip you can attach to the rims, have seen them posted on here before. Will try google...

imma get my google on

If you want to run clinchers rebuilding is the only way. If you ride only track, I'd keep the tubs, but for streets I'd rebuild.

its mostly for the track and sunday rides.
i'm not rebuilding just yet - tubs are here to stay i'm prepared to give them a go. but should i get new ones? how hard is UN-gluing le tub?

Well it says 'New tubulars (road) not glued' in the ad, so if that's the case just glue them and ride them hard.

safe - gonna sort it tomorrow!

If you're not running a brake I think tubs will be okay.
or un-lace>>>>>re-lace to clinchers.

brakeless on the road with clinchers? i have no experience but it seems not very safe...
