I ride with a weekly group on occasion, some of whom are in their 70s. They are retired and spend their winters cycling in Italy and the south of France. I can't keep up with them most of the time, and I'm not yet 50. I just hope when I'm in my 70s, I am:
1) alive
2) not in jail
3) not awaiting a liver transplant from my copious drinking
4) riding like those guys and this wonderful lady -

your mother is a legend FULL STOP!
Mother knows best. Or so I thought. But it turns out my mother has actually gone mad.
Aged 75, having, to my knowledge, never owned a bicycle in her life, she rode from Edinburgh in Scotland to the Isle of Iona, on the other coast of Scotland from Wednesday to Sunday.
Here’s the video wot I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bo8bT391VYM
She's raising money for St Columba’s Hospice, an Edinburgh hospice for the terminally ill where she has worked for 30 years.
